Issue 2

 Close To the Red Vest

By Tim Stocks Candidate for Mayor

                                      Issue 2                            October 31, 2017

Transparency
trans·par·en·cy
[ˌtranˈsperənsē]
Noun…..the condition of being transparent.

In government at any level the need for faith and trust in leadership is paramount….this ought to go without saying. In local government transparency goes a long way to build trust among the citizens. If elected mayor I will embark on improving the information flow of city government activity. To accomplish that I intend to continue authoring these “Close To the Red Vest” articles.

Council minutes, agendas and the like will still be published and our newspaper professionals will continue their fine work publishing city government articles they deem news worthy.  I intend to compliment those sources with my own take on what the city is working on.  Factual but laced with my own opinions, at least as I see things.

We all know that communication is a two-way street. To help address better communication I plan on having regular office hours, to be established when it is decided what hours best address the need.

I believe I can make a difference as the Mayor of Brodhead.  Your early contribution, made payable to “Committee to Elect Tim Stocks Mayor” will give our race a tremendous boost right out of the starting block.  Your gift of $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 will help me raise the vital “early seed money” I need to successfully launch this campaign. Our goal is to raise $2,500.00 by President’s Day, Monday, February 19, 2018, and would ask for your support in helping us rise to this great challenge. I hope you will send your personal check to:
